Livelihood Funds released to 2,400 beneficiaries in Isabela


ILAGAN, ISABELA--The Provincial Capitol has released interest-free livelihood funds worth P15 million for qualified beneficiaries. Echague Isabela

Governor Faustino Dy III and Vice Gov. Rodito Albano III authorized P15 million for more than 2,400 recipients following P12 million released last April to the first batch.

“The Provincial Government is committed to support the programs and projects for the welfare of the Isabelinos,” Dy told Manila Standard, adding that P7 million has been set to beef up the fund.

“The assistance gives them the opportunities to increase their income and sustain their families,” Albano said.
Provincial Cooperatives officer Carlito Tumaliuan said checks to individuals, associations and cooperatives have been forwarded to disbursing centers in four district hospitals, the provincial hospital and at Barangay Villa Concepcion, Cauayan City.

Among the recipients were Magat Dam Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Ambatali, Ramon, Isabela which got P150,000 for micro-financing and Isabela Department of Agrarian Reform employees MPC, San Fermin, Cauayan City for P250,000 as loan capital.

Samahang Mangingisda sa Pangkabuhayan ng Dinapigue was awarded P150,000 for deep-sea gear and the Association of Unified Jeepney Owners and Drivers Association in Centro, Ilagan for its spare parts and bigasan livelihood. 

Jose Lucas of Minante 2, received P10,000 for his Cauayan vulcanizing shop and Evelyn Salarzon of Ipil, Echague for P5,000 as added capital for her fruit and vegetable stand.

Tumaliuan urged other recipients to coordinate with local officials for the release of their checks.
