A barangay chairman was arrested Sunday at Purok 3, Barangay Arabiat, Echague, Isabela, for illegal possession of firearms.
Supt.Julio Reyes Go, spokesman of Isabela Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested suspect as Leonilo Antonio , of Purok 3,Barangay Arabiat, Echague, Isabela.
He was arrested by Echague Police and Provincial Investigation Branch operatives searched his house based on a warrant at around 6 a.m. Sunday at Purok 3, Brgy. Arabiat, Echague, Isabela, Police seized from the suspect a .45-caliber pistol with one short magazine loaded with eight bullets, and an airgun. (Liezle Basa Inigo)
